A pandemic has existed in America, long before COVID. The pandemic of police brutality against black people came to a tipping point in 2020. The year 2020 ignited a movement across the nation and all around the world. The black humanity now: a nation speaks exhibition is an acknowledgement of a moment in time in our history that documents the emotions, narratives and images of the many protests and lived experience of a people. The exhibit is a creative expression of a historic movement for black humanity and the recognition that despite the lived trauma to some in the black experience that there is beauty in the struggle.
