For the first time in our history, Mahogany Gallery is proudly presenting two simultaneous exhibitions at two esteemed universities, marking a significant milestone in our mission to elevate artists and their narratives. Mathis Gallery at The University of Wisconsin - Parkside and H.F. Johnson Galleries at Carthage College.

“Lakefront Collage: A Survey of Racine and Kenosha Art Spaces” is now showing at Mathis Gallery, and ‘Metamorphosis: The Evolution of Black Male Artists Reclaiming Cultural Identity Through Visual Language’ is now showing at H.F. Johnson Galleries.

These exhibitions showcase the work of artists represented and curated by Mahogany Gallery, bringing their powerful voices to academic spaces that foster dialogue, critical thought, and cultural appreciation. This historic moment not only affirms the talent and vision within our community but also underscores the growing recognition of Black artistry in institutional spaces.

This dual exhibition is more than just a showcase—it is a testament to the impact of intentional representation and the necessity of spaces that honor and amplify Black creatives. By curating these exhibitions, Mahogany Gallery continues its commitment to art as a vehicle for education, empowerment, and social change. We celebrate this achievement as a reflection of our collective resilience, creativity, and the ever-expanding reach of Black artistry, and the artistry of non-Black artists of color we represent.
