René Amado Artist Talk on August 27th
Mahogany Gallery announces a new series of conversations with creatives, Mahogany Dialogues is an in-person artist talk series facilitated by Scott Terry of Mahogany Gallery, in Racine, Wisconsin. Mahogany Dialogues is a conversation with unique and dynamic Change Makers in the arts. From visual artists, to performance artists, sculptors to authors and every form of creative in between, Mahogany Dialogues brings the work and lives of these positive Change Makers of the artistic landscape into our local community.
Our first conversation in the series features Change Maker, Rene Amado. Amado is a photographer, educator, and advocate for the communities in which he is integrally involved from Texas to Wisconsin.
Based in Racine, Wisconsin, Rene Amado began honing his craft around 2013, in the downtown streets of San Antonio, Texas. For Amado, walking the streets and capturing the various scenes and unique individuals he would encounter was a great way to flex his creativity while unwinding from a stressful workday. Since then, he has gone on to work in many other genres of photography including concert and live music, photojournalism, fashion, wedding, culinary, automotive, portraiture, and documentary.
Join us Saturday, August 27, 3:00 PM at Mahogany Gallery for this particular conversation with an artistic Change Maker.
